Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals Mencap is seeking a passionate Support Worker to join our incredible team in Royston on a full or part time basis
As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities.
From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you'll play a vital role in their life.
About the service
This is a registered Service where we provide support to 5 people who share their home. People love to get out and about and enjoy bowling, movies, shopping, out for lunch, swimming and much more.
Some of the people we support use a wheelchair to get out and about and need support around their health and well being.
What we're looking for:
- A genuine passion for supporting others.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
Due to the nature of this service, we are looking for applicants who hold a full, clean driving licence as we have a service car that people love to get out and about in.
Shift times
This service provides 24 hr support.
We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life The day shifts are rota'd between 9am and 9pm.
- There is also a sleepin available where you will_ receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £61.20._

As a Support Worker you will be expected to provide an outstanding level of support that will help to ensure the people we support live a more comfortable, dignified, liberated and happy life.
