Purpose of the Role

I am representing a client based in Exeter, who are looking for someone to support the Project Managers in organising temporary accommodation and communicating with affected residents who need to temporarily relocate to allow important fire risk works to be completed in their homes.

This role will be flexible to ensure that all areas and tasks are always covered, it will also require regular travel between the schemes across the Devon area.


Main Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Managers in Bournemouth, Torquay, and Plymouth in the decant process and ensure there is a continuous programme of empty property available for completion of fire risk works.
  • Liaise and communicate regularly with all affected residents to ensure they are fully informed of timescales dates and other relevant information. Ensure residents fully understand why this work is being carried out and why they must temporarily vacate their homes.
  • Assist Project Managers with onsite updates both written and verbal to ensure smooth flow of the project and ensuring everyone is informed and up to date with progress.
  • Manage customer experience, including handling any comments or complaints, escalating where needed.
  • Monitoring of suppliers of temporary accommodation and quality of premises provided.
  • Financial management and monitoring costs of temporary accommodation.
  • Provide regular updates and management information on progress of the decant programme.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with all work colleagues, contractors and partnering agencies to ensure an integrated contribution to the company's corporate objectives.

Requirements:


  • Must be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle as regular travel is needed
  • Knowledge and experience of lettings and local allocation policies
  • Experience of working within a customerfocused environment
  • Good time management skills, ability to prioritise, copes well under pressure and meet targets
