At the Wellbeing & Recovery College (WRC) Hope, Control and Opportunity is at the centre of everything we do. With this in mind we are looking to recruit a highly motivated, experienced and compassionate mental/physical health lived experience senior trainer to co-produce
and co-deliver a range of recovery focused educational courses which support the wellbeing of us all within our communities coming alongside
other trainers and students to offer professional and/or peer support and guidance in a variety of areas.


The main duties of the job are:

  • Ensure co-production is visible throughout.
  • Supporting other trainers with coproduction of new materials or amendment of existing materials including professional support for other trainers.
  • To work collaboratively with the WRC Team including team meetings, staff development sessions, student placements, learning &
development and staff wellbeing.

Wellbeing & Recovery College (WRC) Senior Trainer


The key role is to co-produce and co-deliver recovery focused educational materials within the Wellbeing & Recovery College (WRC).A presentation exploring how you would bring co-production into this role will be asked for in the interview.

The postholder will undertake the following duties and responsibilities at all times.

Wellbeing & Recovery College Day-to-Day Operations

agreed with the WRC Co-ordinators

  • When teaching there may be exposure to distressing or emotional circumstances which could be highly sensitive as well as when
supporting other trainers who are teaching in the classroom as a regular occurrence. When sharing professional/lived/carer
perspectives you may experience a range of emotional reactions including distress.

  • Effective communication and liaison with trainers, including supporting trainer development, and identifying training partnerships
  • Take a lead on safeguarding and crisis management within classes.
  • Building relationships to support the college with empathy and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Working autonomously and effectively to manage interpersonal challenges in a variety of settings, whilst appropriately using
supervision.

  • Identifying training partnerships and negotiating with trainers course production and delivery.
  • Actively promoting the college with all stakeholder groups.
  • Operate at all times from an inclusive values base which promotes recovery and recognises & respects dignity
  • Ensure that co-production is visible throughout
  • To attend and complete relevant training courses including the WRC Train the Trainer course
  • Be active in the development of quality measure across the WRC
