An Exciting opportunity has arisen for dynamic, motivated and innovative Assistant Practitioner, to join our oncology, haematology and palliative care team on Ward 10 in Withybush Hospital.

The post requires the Level 4 Certificate in Healthcare.

A learning environment for ongoing personal and professional development within a friendly and supportive team.


You will be required to undertake identified duties in relation to the care environment, and the direct care of the patient as identified and delegated by a registered nurse, in accordance with the Health Board policies and procedures.


Perform duties and activities within the framework of a plan of care, as delegated and reviewed by a registered nurse, at regular intervals.

Assist patients to achieve physical and emotional well-being and comfort.


Ensure that any changes in a patients condition or circumstance are reported immediately to the appropriate person/registered nurse/nurse in charge.

Utilise transferable skills within level of competence. Clinical Assessment and Care Planning to meet Health and Well-Being Needs.


Respect people's dignity, wishes and beliefs, involving them in shared decision making and obtaining consent for delegated procedures within scope of competence.


Record and report back accurately and fully on the reassessments undertaken and risks identified and participating in developing actions in the care plan to address identified risks.

Full time and part time hours will be considered.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Numerous locations providing mental health and learning disabilities services;

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
