_ About the role_
Skegness Grammar School is looking for a part time Librarian to support, and further develop, our strong reading culture, as we aim to continually progress the reading fluency of all of our learners.
As one of our Librarians, you will facilitate and encourage students in their independent reading by guiding and challenging their choices to appropriately ambitious texts; you will have the opportunity to do this both at social times, and during English lessons.
You will be responsible for library administration, and take a lead role in how we assess the reading abilities of our students.
You will have a good understanding of the impact that strong reading fluency has on young people, and so will be well-equipped to work closely with colleagues across the school in continuously raising the profile of reading.
