We are looking for a motivated quality engineer to join a market leading rubber seals manufacturer.

Reporting directly to the quality and operations team you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running.

You will be involved inall aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within their operation.

With progressive training and development this company is always is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming teamof engineers.

The position will appeal to a strong engineer looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.

Role Description

Support the continued implementation of the Quality and Environmental Management Systems including conducting internal audits.
Perform visual and dimensional inspection of products to ensure conformity to customer and internal requirements.
Support the development and introduction of New Product Implementation

Primary Job responsibilities:

Drive the reduction in internal defect rates through continuous improvement activities.
Support the corrective and preventive action process in regards to customer complaints and internal issues.
Support the management of the company's QMS in accordance with the requirements of ISO9001 and EMS in accordance with the requirements of ISO1400
Implement and maintain quality tools such as SPC, FMEA and Control Plans.
Support the new product introduction process including the generation of Sample and PPAP documentation, FMEA's and Control Plans.
Conducting part measurement through the use of various measurement equipment.
Support the management of the supplier approval process and supplier monitoring activities.
Conduct internal audits as part of an audit team as per the requirements of the audit schedule.
Provide training on quality control to operations team.
Lead continuous improvement activities to improve manufacturing quality performance.

Skills and Qualifications
Quality/Engineering related quals

Quality assurance/engineer: 3 years (preferred)

Lean knowledge - six sigma/green belt preferred

Background:
Rubber Manufacturing (preferred)
