Lancaster & Morecambe Chamber of Commerce is seeking a Membership Officer to join a passionate team committed to collectively driving positive change on behalf of its members and the District. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Role Responsibilities

The successful Membership Officer will be working with businesses locally to give them a real voice and to generate growth.

You will be at the forefront of developing and delivering strategic plans to drive business growth with key stakeholders. This role creates a legacy of shaping business in Lancaster and Morecambe for the benefit of all.

Other duties include, but are not limited to:

Being responsible for the growth, retention and engagement of our members
Be a key part of the team driving forward our mission
Be our brand ambassador and be visible at key events
Providing bespoke support to our members
Generate regional and national growth
Successfully onboard new members
Help design and drive the future of the Chamber
Proactively find and onboard new members to the Chamber

Person Specification

A selfstarter with great communication and organisation skills
Motivated team player and willing to learn from peers and colleagues
Able to work independently
Focused on excellent customer service
Driven to succeed
Comfortable in a public forum
Good time management and communication skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
