IPS supports individuals with serious mental illness find competitive, paid employment in a role that is specifically tailored to their individual needs.
Employment Specialists work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the community and build strong relationships with clinical staff, service users, carers and employers to support individuals into work.
A significant part of this role will consist of employer engagement and supporting individuals in the workplace once they have found employment to ensure that the placement is successful.
We are keen to recruit Employment Specialists who can work flexibly to meet the needs of the service and have the skills to engage and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
The base for these posts will be in Newcastle, and the post holder will be working predominantly within this locality, however may be expected to travel outside of this area on occasion.
As this role will involve meeting people in the community, please ensure you are able to meet the travel requirements of this role.

We have multiple Band 5 posts available working into either a Community Treatment Team or an Early Intervention in Psychosis Team in a CNTW Newcastle locality that is to be confirmed.
