Applications are invited for the following Paediatric Orthopaedic Fellowship at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust with the following start and end dates inclusive.

Paediatric Orthopaedics and Young Adult Hip Fellowship-Commencing ASAP - October 3rd, month position with one young hip preservation consultant

There is also training in deformity planning and correction, and limb lengthening in various disorders, with exposure to circular and monolateral frames, as well as internal fixation techniques.


There will be involvement in the acute and late phased management of complex fractures, and it is expected that the post holder will gain considerable hands on operative experience in trauma and elective conditions.


The post is whole time with 40 standard hours per week attracting an ST6- ST8/ salary with 1 in 11/12 on-call rota with prospective cover shared with fellows and 3 Yorkshire specialist trainees.

Salary is on the above new contract scale.

Fellows are involved in both elective and fracture clinics, elective theatre sessions, trauma theatre sessions as well as ward rounds.

There is a weekly Friday morning MDT and clinical governance meetings with participation by all middle grades

Research is actively encouraged and there is opportunity and time for involvement in research, service evaluations and audit programmes.

It is anticipated that applicants will demonstrate a desire to continue their practice in Paediatric Orthopaedics.
