Description
Reed are currently working with a market leader who have an excellent opportunity for a Management Accountant within there Finance Reporting Team.
They are looking for a strong all round experienced Accountant who has experience of both Financial and ManagementAccounts to join a team of 10 people.
Main Duties:
Responsibility for all internal and external financial reporting for several UK legal entities.
Internal month end reporting to standard processes and practices including:
Accounting for revenue and work in progress.
Accruals and Prepayments.
Payroll accounting.
Accounting for fixed assets.
Inter-company reconciliation.
Reporting results in Cognos Controller
Conducting reviews and validation of results with Managing Directors and Business Unit leaders conveying financial performance and analysis to non-finance personnel.
Acting as a true business partner to operational and financial teams for allocated legal entities.As part of the yearly external audit cycle.
Coordination with operational teams and external audit and tax companies to complete all statutory tax and accounts filing to agreed timeframes.
Developing internal systems and processes to continuously improve transaction capture and reporting.Supporting integrations of acquisitions
Supporting the business on financial matters as required e.g. Budgets and forecasts.
Quarterly capex and overhead reporting.
Preparation of national statistic forms.
Ad Hoc tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS
Be ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified or Part qualified.
Hold 2-3 years' experience in a similar role
A strong self-starter who is prepared to lead agenda's directly with General Managers and senior team members.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to convert data into analysis / information which enables users to understand business performance and make informed decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain what the numbers are saying.Solid knowledge of finance policies, processes and finance systems.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a team player.
Organised, meticulous with the ability to prioritise and deliver to agreed deadline.
