What we're looking for

  • Ability to get on well with people at all levels and work effectively as a team member.
  • To be responsible for working with colleagues and managers to provide a safe and welcoming environment for staff, patients and visitors
  • To support cross county provision of services, working in both of the counties Orthopaedic and fracture clinics.
  • Under guidance, deliver safe patient care within a challenging and changing clinical environment, using equipment and resources safely and as appropriate.
  • To act as a chaperone for patients attending clinic appointments.
We are friendly and professional team who work with a variety of other multi-disciplinary teams.

We are always looking to improving our service, and have taken of several audits and studies surrounding patient centred care and patient information.

We welcome new ideas, and staff's innovations as well as training and developing our staff.

  • Communicate effectively especially where patient ability to do so is compromised.
  • To deliver safe care within a challenging and changing clinical environment, using equipment and resources safely and as appropriate throughout the cross county service provision, with the support of the trained nurses.
  • To adhere to all Trust policies and procedures.
  • To input and retrieve patient information from computer based system and maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient records.

MOST CHALLENGING PART OF THE JOB

  • Working to tight internal or external deadlines.
  • Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and time scales.
  • Exposure to verbal aggression and resistance during incident investigation.
  • Dealing with difficult situations and people with the support of the trained nurses.
