Working Hours:
Full-time, Monday - Friday(37.5 hours)


Salary:
Competitive + 20% Bi-Annual Bonus


What will you be doing?
With a mandate to create class leadingcapability, Procurement is an expanding function within Hyperoptic.

As such we are looking for a Senior Category Manager to help us leverage our suppliers delivering into our warehouse function.

Specifically this coversaround £25m of key spend, spanning three major goods types: 1. materials that are used by our engineers to build our network infrastructure, 2. tooling that they need to enable them to build and deliver our network, and 3. consumables that are used along theway.


What are some of the key responsibilities of the role?

  • Creating and manage draft contracts and liaising directly with counsel to deliver negotiated agreements
  • Driving negotiations and developing options to maximallysupportorganizationalobjectives and strategies
  • Coaching and leading the business in employing appropriatenegotiating techniques and engaging stakeholders
  • Creating and developingresultsdrivencategory and supplier management plans
  • Driving supplier performance, in alliance with the businessstakeholders, to ensure addressable spend is actively managed
  • Delivering Procurement KPIs (typically hard savings) to agreed targets
  • Developing and maintaining influential, close relationshipswith suppliers and internal & external stakeholders at all levels
  • Actively gains indepth knowledge of the supplier's objectives, values and preferences within the context of their wider businessobjectives.

What we are looking for?

  • Extensive experience in procurement categorymanagement, contract negotiation. managing telco related materials and stock
  • Analytical and presentation skills; must be able to quantify and summarise Procurementinitiatives for exec level buy in and approval
  • Able to support and guide the businesswith their Procurementrequirements
  • Relates effectively to people at all levels of the organization and within the supply base
  • Experience of working in a teamoriented, collaborativeenvironment at leadership level.
  • Self starter who is delivery focused.
  • CIPs accreditationdesirabl
