Description

The role:

We are looking for a new Contract and Commissioning Officer to join our experienced and supportive all age Contract and Commissioning Team in Adult Social Care.

This is a full-time permanent post and will work in a hybrid way, with a minimum of 2 days in the office at Times Square, Warrington.

You will be part of a team of three Contracts and Commissioning Officers reporting to the Older People's Contracts and Commissioning Team Manager.

We invest over £80m each year in care and support services for adults across Warrington.

The successful post holder will have a varied portfolio of Older People commissioned services to manage, including information, advice, care and support.

The post holder will undertake a range of activities as part of the commissioning life cycle, from population needs assessment, service development, procurement and contract management, as well as leading on or contributing to other development projects.

Over the next 2 years, there are significant changes and developments associated with Older People's services due to the

Social Care Reform White Paper:
People at the Heart of Care. There will be many opportunities for you to make your mark and be part of the change.

We are already planning for the changes associated with the Fair Cost of Care and the Care Cap, and you will support some of this whole-Council activity.

As an individual you will need the right values, excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to break down complex issues and processes into manageable and deliverable activity.

You will need to be confident enough to set clear expectations for a range of colleagues and partners. Our future success will be dependent on working collaboratively and co-producing new responses to local challenges.

We expect all our work to be informed by the voices of those that use services and you will need good communication skills to engage with a range of people.
