We are currently partnering with a Plymouth based client who are looking to recruit a Finance Assistant into the team on a temporary basis over a 6-month period.


The position will provide dedicated financial support and to act as first point of contact to stakeholders and staff in finance related matters.

This will be a varied role covering general administration, to more detailed finance tasks using SAGE.


Responsibilities:


  • Maintain Filing Systems & Data Entry
  • Answer the telephone and take messages as required
  • Undertake general office tasks e.g. photocopying, post in and out
  • Code and input invoices onto Sage (Purchase Ledger)
  • Input Monthly Support onto Sage and generate invoices
  • Process Rents and Weekly information sheets from projects
  • Record payment methods and file paid invoices
  • Input sales information onto Sage and produce invoices (Sales Ledger)
  • Input Payments and Receipts from bank Statement onto Sage
  • Generate reports as required
  • Check and reconcile petty cash accounts for the organisation
  • Experience of working with money
  • Use of SAGE finance package
  • Data Entry & good IT skills
  • Some understanding of basic finance procedure
