An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and qualified HR Professional to join our HR Team on a fixed term basis until 31 March 2025.


We are in a unique position where we are able to offer experience in our HR team where you will provide operational advice and support to managers in the across all Council services on planning their workforce requirements, delivering workforce change through service redesign and transformation, and promoting effective employee relations in areas such as discipline, fairness at work, performance, and sickness absence.

You will work proactively with senior managers on maximising capacity and performance of the workforce to improve organisational effectiveness.


Perth & Kinross Council is currently implementing organisational wide transformation and change programme, which includes developing a new operating model to ensure we can deliver public services where they are needed, in partnership with communities; as an HR professional you will be instrumental in supporting this work.

Essential for this post is a strong customer focus and a practical, "can-do" approach. You must demonstrate an ability to build credibility and to establish effective working relationships at all levels.


You must have an Advanced Diploma in HR Management (Level 7), or equivalent, and have sound knowledge of employment law; in particular as it relates to employee relations, workforce management and the delivery of transformation and change.


You must have experience of delivering training and employee awareness sessions, working proactively with senior management in some/all of these areas and providing support and advice on individual case management is required along with a commitment to continuous improvement.
