Description

The Centre for Autism (CfA) is based in the School of Psychology & Clinical Language Sciences and offers cutting edge research and clinical services and training for autistic children, adults and their families. We are seeking to recruit an administrator to support the work of an exciting new wellbeing hub within the CfA.

The postholder will be a first point of contact for the Centre for Autism and the wellbeing hub.

As well as answering day-to-day enquiries, a primary role will be to manage clinical appointments, logging referrals and liaising with staff and placement students to organize appointments, speaker evenings and special interest groups.

The post holder will support the development of clinic infrastructure such as record keeping, data management & contracts.

There will be opportunities to work collaboratively with CfA staff to create, and publish interesting and relevant content across our channels (such as social medial, website, newsletters).


You will have:

  • Proven administrative and problemsolving skills in complex working environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to balance competing priorities and meet set deadlines.
  • Good written and verbal skills and an ability to communicate with a wide range of people.
  • Ability to work across multiple digital platforms (social media, website, blogs)
  • Able to communicate confidently with staff and students to maintain standard procedures for administrative and support activities, including safeguarding
  • Good IT skills and confidence in using MS Office software.
  • Excellent customer service skills
