Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a receptionist position on Oxton Unit at the City Hospital. Oxton Unit is an 11 bedded orthopaedic unit caring for patients who have undergone orthopaedic surgery.

You will have good organisational skills and an excellent telephone manner.

You must be able to manage your work load and prioritise effectively as well as having good communication skills and will be professional at all times.

You must be committed to a high standard of patient care and safety.


As the first member of staff that many patients will encounter on the Oxton Unit we are looking for someone welcoming, enthusiastic, hard working and organised to join our team.

Main duties of the job


You will be ensuring patients are admitted, transferred and discharged on Careflow in a timely manner, answering telephone calls, directing patients and relatives appropriately, filing and completing general administrative duties.

You must have a flexible attitude to work and be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Salary:
The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
