This is a superb opportunity for an ambitious and qualified accountant to work within a PE-backed financial services business in Central London.

I have partnered exclusively with my client, a business that have experienced year on year growth for the past 3-4 years.

Put simply but, for an ambitious newly or nearly qualified accountant, there are few better opportunities available than this one, as this has the very potential of becoming a Financial Controller role in the next 2-3 years as the company continues to grow

You may be looking to make the step up from Management/ Company Accountant, however, my client will also consider those currently working as Finance Manager and looking for a fresh challenge.

You will be dynamic, with an eye for spotting improvements and driving processes forward but, in addition to this, you will enjoy leading a team.

If you do not have experience of managing, this is not an issue, provided you have the requisite communication skills and passion to lead.

Key responsibilities from the off will include:

  • Creating financial models
  • Budget setting/ Forecasting
  • Overseeing monthend and operational finance
  • Payroll
  • Supervising a team of two direct reports (an Accounts Assistant and an Analyst)
  • Improving processes/ systems
  • Be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or be sitting your final papers)
  • Have advanced Excel skills
  • Have experience in Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Have worked within a finance department for at least 5 years
  • Have led/ managed a small team before. If not, you will be able to display a passion to do so
  • Be an excellent communicator, able to speak to a variety of audiences
  • Have worked within financial services (not essential)
