Permanent, Full Time. Service operating hours 8am - 9pm 7 days a week


LOCATION:
Remote with travel to meetings as required


SALARY:
£77,850 - £90,000

This role will primarily focus on the NHS side of the business.


THE OPPORTUNITY


As a member of the Clinical Directorate and reporting directly to the Chief Clinical Officer, the Head of Clinical Division will lead on ensuring our clinical people feel valued and that we meet both internal and external performance targets.

This post is about ensuring we do everything we can to effectively use the resources we have, in getting us further towards our company purpose, and deliver against organisational objectives.

To be a part of this team and successful in post, you must be self reflective, and have a desire to improve our services, our people, and yourself.


You will work closely and have managerial responsibility for the wider Clinical Operations management and clinical teams, and through your ability to direct, influence, and work through others, you will achieve the results we have in the short and medium term.

Developing your own team, as well as your attention to detail in developing/monitoring systems and processes that get us to the outputs/outcomes required, is therefore essential to be successful.

You must be able to effectively communicate and hold others to account while working with and influencing them.

You will manage relationships with specific departments within Healios and be responsible for the following:


Key Responsibilities:

People Wellbeing and Engagement: Champion a culture where the wellbeing and engagement of our clinical workforce are top priorities. Ensure that our clinicians feel valued, supported, and motivated to deliver their best work.

Operational Excellence: Lead efforts to maximise clinician time for revenue-generating activities, aligning operational activities with strategic goals. Develop and monitor realistic job plans for all clinicians, ensuring they are met consistently.

Change Management: Understand, communicate, and manage the impact of changes on clinical operations. Obtain support and buy-in for necessary changes, and execute those changes within our direct control. Foster effective communication throughout the directorate regarding changes that impact clinicians and team leads.

Performance Monitoring and Improvement: Utilise multiple data sources to identify and alleviate underperformance across services and teams. Ensure that resources are deployed effectively to maximise output, reducing unwarranted variation in service delivery.

Clinical Expertise: Demonstrate deep clinical operational expertise in pathway redesign. Establish, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care.

Consultations: Carry out consultations with very complex cases as and when required.

Budget Oversight:Optimise resource allocation strategies and streamline operational costs while maintaining a focus on balanced workload distribution.

Clinical Governance: Attend monthly Clinical and Operations Performance Board Meetings. Provide specialist clinical support from Clinical Leads
