About the Trust
Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest general hospital foundation trusts in the country.

We provide acute medical and surgical services to Reading, Wokingham and West Berkshire and specialist services such as cancer, dialysis, and eye surgery to a wider population across Berkshire and its borders.

The Trust is made up of 7 locations with the Royal Berkshire Hospital being the main site.


What you'll be responsible for:


  • Accountable and responsible for the delivery of the BBT Programme Management workstream including establishment of BBT's Programme Management Office (PMO).
  • Responsible for development of programme management approach and production of PMO Handbook, ensuring the Programme Delivery Leads and project managers adhere to the programme management methodology to provide assurance to the Programme Director, SFO and wider Executive level stakeholders
  • Responsible for the development of the BBT Programme portfolio including current and pipeline workstreams and projects
  • Ensures all BBT workstreams have clear objectives, programme of works, deliverables and measurable benefits that contribute and are aligned to the BBT Programme objectives.
  • Forecasts, recruits and manages programme and project resources required for current and pipeline projects.
  • Implement, establish and manage the BBT governance for the programme up to Trust Board level including external stakeholders and groups (e.g. ICS). Reviews effectiveness of governance regularly and updates as required.
  • Regularly report Programme and workstream progress to Programme Director, CFO and Trust Executives, including progress against overarching programme deliverables.

You'll have the following skills/experience:


  • Excellent communication skills
- both verbal and written

  • Microsoft office skills
  • Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Previous NHS experience
  • Programme Management experience
  • Budget Responsibilities experience
  • Project management experience
