WHAT TO EXPECT


Join our team of next generation thinkers Working within the SVO Forward Model Architecture (FMA) team you will be responsible for translating marketing and design aspirations into "engineered" vehicle architectures, primarily within the low volume segment of the premium automotive market.

You will be working to define and develop vehicle concepts to a stage of proven design and manufacturing feasibility against defined programme gateways.

This role is high profile within SVO and you will be working with, and presenting your work, to managers and engineers at all levels across the business.

The role will work on the whole vehicle engineering with the primary goal of developing new vehicle concepts & current vehicle model year updates to the point of technical feasibility.


Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:


  • Lead the development of vehicle concepts with strategy and marketing teams to ensure they are technically feasible.
  • Liaise and Interface with multiple functions to compile robust component & feature assumptions.
  • Lead the successful resolution of technical conflicts to achieve the overall product assumptions & attributes in line with the target costs, weight and commonality.
  • Throughout the early engineering gateways, ensure entitlement for attribute targets. Report out in key technical meetings ensuring the product meets statement of intent.
  • Lead the completion of technical deliverables in the early program gateways.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Technical knowledge and experience of key vehicle systems and whole vehicle engineering
  • Proven ability to work with technical data and combine business skills with technical decisionmaking
The ability to manage and lead complex technical issues is essential to balance the often-conflicting needs of the business, within project timing constraints

  • Good level of IT literacy and the ability to analyse and present data using IT systems and Microsoft Tool skill sets
