Dron & Dickson are specialists in integrated supply, installation and maintenance of harsh & hazardous electrical equipment.

Based at five UK locations, we provide specialist E&I inspection, maintenance and project services to all parts of the Offshore & Onshore Energy sector, Pharmaceutical and Marine industries.

Managed from our UK locations, our services operate within the UK, Europe, Africa and Asia.


Position:


Purpose:

Our systems, processes and cultures coupled with our supply and services ensures people, plant and the environment are kept safe. The primary purpose of this role is to maintain accurate financial records within Cable Solutions and ensuring accurate and timely reporting to Head Office.


Objective:

The primary objective of this role is to develop and maintain efficient accounting processes and controls to ensure information provided to Head Office is accurate and reflective of Cable Solutions financial position.

Core Alignment Responsibilities:

Role Responsibilities:


Sales Ledger

  • Daily sales invoice and credit note processing, including managing customer portals.
  • Customer receipts and allocations processed daily.
  • Customer set up and maintenance.
  • Credit Insurance and credit limit management
  • Credit Control and subsequent reporting to Head Office as required.
  • Monthly customer statements
  • Sales Invoice and sales ledger queries

Purchase Ledger

  • Purchase invoices and credit notes processed.
  • Suppler payment batches
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Supplier set up and maintenance.
  • Company credit card processing and reconciliation

Other

  • Bank reconciliations for multiple accounts including EUR & USD.
  • Cashflow forecasting and subsequent reporting to Head Office
  • Petty Cash management (low volume)
  • Assist Finance Manager with month end duties.
  • Assist with monthly payroll administration.
  • Assist with adhoc facilities management as and when required.
  • Provide adhoc support to Finance manager and Financial Controller as and when required.

  • Ensure the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including undertaking statutory training and reporting.

Requirements:


Core Skills:


  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite
  • SAGE 50 experience preferred or other similar packages.
  • Prior experience in a bookkeeping role or various finance function roles is necessary.
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to proactively build good working relationships internally and externally.
  • Able to work proactively on own initiative as based in different location from line manager.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate
  • Articulate, dynamic, energetic and delivery focused.
  • Flexible, adaptable and able to work under pressure.
  • Ability to represent Dron & Dickson in a positive and effective manner.

Contracted Hours: 38.25 hours per week with 45 mins for lunch


Hours of work:


  • Mon to Thurs: 8.30am 5pm
  • Fri: 8.30am 4.30pm
