Description
Page Personnel is exclusively supporting a high delivery FMCG business with their recruitment of an Assistant Accountant to join their accountancy team on a 3-6 month full- time basis. The role is to cover maternity leave and reports to the Finance Managerworking in a team of 5. The role is almost fully remote but travel to the office will be required throughout the assignment on an adhoc basis.

Description
As the Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting with the day to day transactional duties including purchase ledger & sales ledger
- Reconciliation work balance sheet, bank reconciliation
- Supporting the Management Accountant with the production of monthly management accounts
- Accruals, journals and prepayments
- Dealing with queries from suppliers
- Any other adhoc duties as required by the Finance Manager
Profile
In order to be considered for the Assistant Accountant role, you must:
- Have previously worked in a similar role and be able to demonstrate this
- Be immediately available or on short notice
- Be local to the Southampton area so you are able to commute easily when required
- Be a good team player
- Be confident using accounting software e.g. Xero/Sage 50
- Be able to multitask
