To provide person centred support so the people we support are able to feel connected to their community, feel safe in a homely environment and receive the care and support they need in all aspects of their life whilst promoting independence.
The people we support live in their own bungalows with a staff team on a 1:1 or a 2:1 basis 24 hours a day including evenings, weekends and sleep in duties.
We support people with a diagnosis of severe learning disabilities, Autism, complex behaviours sensory, and health needs including moving and support.
It is important that people are able to provide consistent support in line with support plans in place. Drivers are preferred due to people having access to their own mobility cars. The activities people enjoy are going for drives and walks, seaside visits, parks, music, swimming, trampolining, arts and crafts, bowling, eating out, visiting family, days out, short breaks and socialising with friends.
At times the people we support do require additional support when they become anxious.
The people we support appreciate staff who are fun and not afraid to sing and dance, reliable, enthusiastic, good sense of humour, calm, friendly, consistent, committed, flexible and are able to maintain boundaries.
Our support staff work with people to enhance their skills within the home environment by supporting with cooking, daily living tasks, budgeting and financial support, personal care, accessing education and healthcare.
Experience is preferred due to the complex needs of the people we support, however full training will be provided which consists of a combination of face to face, online and shadowing an existing staff member.
