Hours:
Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00, 40 hours per week.
- With the nature of our client's business and continued up time being a priority, means essential maintenance may need to be carried outside of normal hours and therefore a flexible approach to work is essential.
Purpose
With a strong technical background, the Cover Supervisor works closely with the Contract Managers in delivering an exceptional service clients across a large portfolio static buildings.
We're looking for an experienced Supervisor with a good track record who is capable of running the operation whilst on duty.
Key duties include
- Making sure all QHSE procedures are followed and all QHSE KPI's are met each month.
- All quotes are issued to the client for approval and reactive tasks are closed within the set SLA period.
- Compile, issue, and present monthly reports to the client for assigned buildings.
- Participate in sustainability initiatives to assist the client in moving towards net carbon zero targets.
- Ensure that routine PPM is carried out to all electrical / mechanical plant in accordance with Site task schedules and asset lists.
- Ensure that reactive tasks throughout the buildings are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made.
- Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order.
- To provide parts inventory and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works.
- Ensure Concept (CAFM) and any Compliance and Permit System is kept up to date and that PPM and reactive tickets are closed out with accurate data captured.
- Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding reactive, and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the contract administrators.
- Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared and used for all tasks undertaken to ensure safe working practices at all times.
- Ensure the engineering team complete near miss reports, dynamic risk assessments and detailed records of site activities, and ensuring any noncompliance is challenged and escalated where necessary.
Qualifications
- Approved apprenticeship or appropriate experience within Building Services
- Formal qualification in electrical, mechanical or building services engineering
- 18th Edition
IEE:
Wiring & Installation
- L8 Including Cooling Towers
- HV Authorised Person
- C&G 236 Parts 1 and 2
Skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with staff and Customers at all levels
- Experience as an end user of a Building Management Systems
- Demonstrable experience of managing contractors
- Selfmotivated and able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills, with experience of report writing
- Be conversant with current Health and Safety legislation with relevance to safe working practices
