Are you a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next role in the area of Finchley, London borough of Barnet?


Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join this lovely Primary School in Barnet, North-West London, to start in January 2023 to the end of the July 2023.

This is a full time, long-term role paying between £75.00- £80.00 per day on PAYE.


As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work within the school's SEND Provision which provides for pupils with a diagnosis of Autism.

You will be working in a KS1 group of 5 students, possibly supporting students 1-1.

These pupils are learning at an EYFS leveland will be learning to an adapted curriculum which encourages a 'learn through play' teaching method involving sensory play, arts and crafts and baking.

Some of the pupils will be verbal and more independent and others will be non-verbal and need extra learningsupport. There may also be a requirement to support with personal care.

Essential Requirements:


  • Experience supporting young people with special educational needs, specifically Autism (ASD/ASC)
  • Previous support work, TA or LSA work within a Primary School or other related experience.
  • A caring and professional manner, willing to support with the personal care of pupils.
  • Must have legal right to work in the UK.
