  • The role

  • The is a varied role that works across our landside estate. As a Patroller you will be working with multiple internal teams as well as liaising with external parties including blue light and recovery services.
Our Patrollers report to the Control Room Manager and the principal accountabilities include:

  • Provide general assistance to customers, including direction to customers of Car Parks open zones. Monitoring the capacity of car parks, space count and undertake zone management. Update capacity figures.
  • Conduct car park patrols as required and patrols of the Express Set Down (ESD) and escalation of security concerns in line with unattended article policy and abandoned vehicle management. Escalate any concerns on the road network including Road Traffic Collisions (RTCs)
  • Daily fleet checks, upkeep and reporting on any faults.
  • Operate the car park barrier system, including use of control room equipment including checking faults status, cash levels and updating capacities of each car park.
  • Provide first response to environmental spillages in car parks and escalate to Airport operational teams.
  • Administration for the smooth running of the Car Parks operation, including but not limited to carrying out H&S reporting and testing of help and refuge points, zone counts, Operational Planning Diary, fault & asset status, unattended vehicles/articles and completion of ESD patrols.
  • Monitor the operation of automatic entry/exit barriers and Pay On Foot (POF) equipment, complete first line maintenance and escalate unresolved faults through the fault management process with internal and external stakeholders.
