The Solution group are looking for a buyer to join our client's team.


You will be responsible for the procurement of goods and services according to company needs and demands of the Roofing and cladding requirements.


Working in close collaboration with the Project Managers, design team and procurement manager, this key role will ensure the procurement of goods and services required.


  • You will need to have the ability to negotiate competitive prices, and commercial terms and ensure ontime and budget delivery this is essential for this role.
  • You MUST have roofing or cladding buying experience.
  • They are looking for a commercially aware and proficient negotiator.
  • Liaising with preferred and specified suppliers, you will manage the competing demands of longlead items and realtime demand from our construction sites.
  • You will be selfmotivated and comfortable working within a fastpaced, friendly team environment.
  • You will have control of Purchase administration and reporting, ensuring that its completed and recorded correctly.
  • Making sure that all materials are purchased at the best price and are delivered on time so that projects can continue.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to collaborate with site, design teams, suppliers, subcontractors and clients.

The daily duties include:


  • Tracking orders and proactively addressing any failed or late deliveries
  • Processing of purchase ledger records
  • Maintaining and developing the supply chain
  • Monitoring and reporting of price increases, updating internal spreadsheets.
  • Arranging the return of nonconforming products

Required

  • Minimum 2 years of Purchasing experience in roofing, cladding, or an aligned industry
  • Experience and/or education in procurement and inventory management

Salary:
£35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
