Option A have partnered with Plexus to help recruit passionate and

dedicated manufacturing operators to join their rapidly expanding team in Kelso

This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative, leading global brand on a
PERMANENT CONTRACT with excellent company benefits and internal progression opportunities.

As a manufacturing operator, you will be working in an essential role within a team, helping to assemble electrical components.

Your day to day duties may include:

Operating machinery whilst adhering to all health and safety protocol
Soldering of electrical components and boards
Assembling of parts into finished product
Learning how to operate different types of machinery with the aim of becoming multiskilled
Lifting heavy loads when required up to 20kg
Completing relevant paperwork accurately and on time to provide full traceability

Successful applicants will have the following:

Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Great computer skills
Passionate about their work, with a drive for learning and progression

Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday 8AM5PM
Friday 8AM1PM

Due to business needs, there may be occasions where you are required to work shift patterns. Depending on the shift, if this happens you will receive a shift allowance of up to 40%.

The starting wage for this role is set at the real living wage of £10.90 per hour with overtime being paid at time and a half after 39 hours in the week.

If you work a Sunday, you will receive double time.

Pay is reviewed annually and depending on your performance, you can receive additional pay on top of your basic rate.
