We are looking to bring on board an Assistant Tax Consultant to work closely with our Exeter based Tax Managers and support our growing team.
You will be joining us at an exciting time.We have just been acquired by The Progeny Group - the first and only UK firm to bring together independent financial planning, investment management, tax, property, HR, and legal counsel all in one place.
About the role
The taxation team is growing to support the thriving financial planning business, both in the UK and overseas.
The team currently undertakes high end income and capital tax planning work and compliance for HNWI, internationally mobile individuals and Trusts.
Depending on experience, you will be given or will work towards having your own client compliance allocation, working with tax managers across our busy tax team.
In supporting a financial planning team, we see a wide variety of income sources and assets, that fall within personal taxation.
This role will be varied and is away from the norm of a tax team within an accountancy practise. If desired, support to further your professional qualifications will be offered.Essential Criteria
- Working towards your ATT qualification or a desire to start this qualification
- Some experience of working in personal tax and with selfassessment tax returns
- CCH experience (preferable)
- Excellent Microsoft word and excel skills
- Keen to work within a large supportive team
- Excellent analytical and time management skills with attention to detail
Location
The role is based at our Exeter office. We operate hybrid working enabling home and office working. This role is full time, but we are happy to talk flexible working.
