All year round, 36 hours per week
We require a highly skilled and motivated individual to be part of our careers service across the college.

You will ensure that our students receive high quality and relevant advice and guidance from the start of their course through to the end of their college journey.

You will work alongside curriculum teams to plan effective activities and events which raise student aspirations and ensure effective progression into employment, apprenticeships, higher education or further training.

Here's the standard bit:


  • You will provide effective and high quality Pastoral and Safeguarding supportin accordance with the College's pastoral and safeguarding responsibilities. You will work alongside curriculum staff and the wider Progress Team to provide effective strategies which meet the needs of individual students by removing barriers to learning. You will proactively promote the safety and wellbeing of students throughout the college. You will have a specific case load of students whilst being on hand to deal with any Pastoral and Safeguarding issues which may arise on a daily basis
You will have relevant knowledge of current qualification frameworks, the Gatsby Benchmarks and the UCAS process.

You will have a sound understanding of the range of issues facing young people and how this impacts upon their aspirations and ability to make informed career choices.
