Location:
Nottingham

Pay:
£13.50 / £17.00/hr (depending on skill sets)

Hours:

Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:30

Friday 08:00 to 15:30

CNC Operator - Overview

Setting up and operating a selection of CNC machines, mainly HAAS and DMG with Heidenhain and Fanuc controls with precision parts for the Aviation industry.
Fully conversant reading third angle projection drawings working to the tolerances required.
Verify the work produce can meet quality and technical standards through 1st off processes and selfinspection.
Provide methods and technical support to other members of the team wherever necessary.
Identify tooling solutions for both cutting and fixturing as needed.
Ensure that full documentation is kept up to date detailing the CNC path, featuring and tooling information.
Assist in solving manufacturing and quality issues utilizing root cause and analysis tools.
Sharing knowledge and experience and support coaching and mentoring to new employees and apprentices.
Support and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives across Shop Operations.
Good Housekeeping with some 5S experience essential.

Job Requirements**:
At least 1 years experience of 3 axis and 5 axis operator and setter experience
Experience with Heidenhain & Fanuc controls a distinct advantage
Team Player with the ability to work alone and use own initiative with minimum supervision.
