Company Profile:

Working for an expanding and successful energy consultancy and software development company.

Due to continued growth, they are now looking to expand the 50-person team and are searching for an experienced HR professional.

This is position will be based remotely with the occasional requirement to go to the Offices in Covent Garden.


Key responsibilities include:


Recruitment:


  • End to end administrative support. This includes processing new starters, change of details, leavers on to the HR database.
  • Finding, hiring, training, and supporting new employees
  • Ensuring that references are obtained for all new starters inline with the Company's screening requirements
  • Reviewing & enhancing the current recruitment/interview processes.
  • Organising and conducting interviews for new roles.
  • Posting new job roles on job boards
  • Creating and amending job descriptions

Administration:


  • Ensure that all new starter documentation is returned and recorded.
  • Conduct exit interviews with line managers for all appropriate leavers and store documentation.
  • Respond to incoming requests for information i.e. references, landlord/mortgage enquiries
  • Provide general advice to employees and line mangers on payroll and administrative issues connected with absence, holidays, maternity/paternity leave and general HR policies and procedures
  • Provide efficient, effective and accurate support to the payroll process by ensuring accurate administration and achievement of deadlines through thorough accuracy and diligence checks
  • Producing disciplinary outcome letters where required, and ensuring the proper processes are adhered to as defined in the staff handbook.
  • Supporting/conducting investigations particularly in relation to Sickness and Timekeeping concerns

Culture and Employee relations

  • Become a company culture ambassador by working with management to develop an organisational structure and culture that supports the company's strategic goals. You'll also act as a liaison between employees and managers to ensure that appropriate communications exist between all parties.
  • Support Employee relations to ensure a positive working environment and facilitate positive employee relationships
  • Support in initiatives such as: health and wellness, Diversity and inclusion
  • Provide advice on performance reviews to managers and participate in conversations with colleagues in respect to their performance.

Employee Training and Continuous development

  • Oversee education/training programs
  • Support employees by offering progression paths within the company. Provide clearly defined avenues for advancement, promotions, and transfers to other teams or sectors within the company

Skills, know-how and experience required:


  • An understanding of communicating HR policies and procedures to the wider business including Account Managers and Directors
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office in particular Excel
  • Experience of working within HR and the ability to add value to the recruitment process
  • Educated to degree standard or equivalent
