Job description:


The role of the Midlands Area, Business Support Manager is an exciting and challenging opportunity within DIO Regional Delivery Central.


Close collaboration with other DIO Admin Hubs across the Central Region, will be essential to guarantee a common user experience for Midlands based Regional Delivery staff & occasional visitors.

Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills are required, in an environment where the pace and priorities change frequently.


The position is customer facing and will suit a strong communicator who enjoys working with a diverse range of customers; and is able to develop positive relationships across the wider DIO team community.

Person specification:


Main Responsibilities

  • Management and supervision of the provision of administrative and office support service functions.
  • Line Management responsibility for 1 x AO Admin support staff.
  • Business Continuity Coordinator, linking with Regional Office SMEs to produce, communicate, review & test Business Continuity arrangements for DIO Offices Telford & Dale Barracks, Chester.
  • Information Asset Assurance Coordinator, working with Regional Colleagues to ensure DIO Information assets are handled in accordance with DIO & MOD policy.
  • Area Office Local Security Officer supporting local arrangements.
  • SHEF focal point, collaborating closely with Regional SME colleagues to maintain a safe working environment for DIO staff, visiting workers and all building users.
  • Support and champion Collaborative Working principles to DIO-RD Midlands Area Team, liaising with Regional Leads & DIOs Service Providers.

Desirable Experience & Skills

  • Office Management background
  • Line Management Experience
  • IOSH or Health & Safety Qualification or experience

Licences:


  • A full UK Driving licence will be required as public transport is not available. Some overnight stays may be required.
