Join us as Senior Communications Officer at Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust based in Guildford.


We are looking for someone with broad experience across content creation, campaign and event management, digital channels including social media and with strong project management and organisational skills.

You will be working across some of our key communications functions and taking the lead on specific campaigns and projects, including some exciting work to develop and improve our digital channels.


You will be line managing the Communications Assistant, working together to create compelling content and providing support across the commucnations service.

With the support of the Communications Managers, you will take the lead on specific campaigns and projects within the communications team.


These will include staff engagement and communications campaigns, special projects such as organising important internal and external events, as well as helping to develop content for our digital channels with your excellent copy writing ability.


You will be line managing the Communications Assistant, working together to create compelling content and providing support across the communications service.


This is a broad role where the post holder will be expected to work as part of a team and to be comfortable performing across all key areas of communications.


You will be required to lead on various projects and therefore must possess creativity, have good organisational skills, and be able to juggle multiple projects.


You will work on many of the team's key communications and engagement channels, including newsletters, staff briefings, the website and intranet.


You will use your excellent communications skills to make sure information is informative, engaging and accessible for our audiences, including patients and staff.

This will often involve taking complex information and translating this into simple, plain English suitable for our stakeholders.
