Logistics Coordinator - Arbroath, United Kingdom - AGR Automation
Description
PURPOSE
You will operate as part of the Supply Chain Team with responsibility for the effective and efficient flow of materials into and out of the company.
MAIN TASKS
- Be the focal point and expertise within the business unit for all logistics requirements.
- Create packing lists/commercial invoices and/or collection manifests for shipments.
- Communicate effectively on freight logistics movements with internal and external customers and freight partners.
- Review export and import customs entries for accuracy and compliance, liaising with freight providers and customs for any amendments if required.
- Ensure all necessary purchase requisitions are completed and purchase orders issued to freight logistics providers in a timely.
- Input and liaise with project teams to ensure all logistics requirements and potential issues are highlighted and considered at the earliest opportunity.
- Support the wider Supply Chain Team as and when required.
- Ensure quality procedures and working practices are adhered to and constructively suggest where improvements can be made.
- Maintaining a tidy and safe working environment.
- Other reasonable duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in a similar role with international freight
- Experience of MRP/ERP systems
- Knowledge of UK import and export customs
- Experience dealing with air, sea and road freight
- Experience handling / producing transit documentation
- Work well under pressure in a fastpaced environment
- Good communication skills
- Superb organisational skills with a methodical approach to your work
- High level of attention to detail whilst working at pace
- Excellent prioritisation skills
- Ability to work on our own as well as part of a team
