An exciting opportunity has arisen for inspirational, highly committed and motivated Trainee Advanced Practitioners to join our dedicated Care of Older people department within the Integrated Medicine & Patient Flow department at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals.


We have 2 positions available, with a start date of September 2023 and are looking for experienced nurses / AHP's to join our growing team of ACP's / tACP's and nurse consultant.


You must have substantial post registration experience, ideally 5 years or proof of equivalent experience, sound clinical knowledge within Acute Medicine whilst also demonstrating good managerial and leadership qualities.


You will be expected to influence all related aspects of care and management of patients and deliver individualised and personalised direct patient care.

You must be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of healthcare professionals and be enthusiastic and committed to making a difference, and a commitment to improving practice through ongoing personal and professional development.

You will become responsible for delivering high standards of care using advanced autonomous clinical skills, offering support to both our nursing and junior medical colleagues.

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is ideally situated just a forty five minute drive from Manchester.

The Trust provides services to the 440,000 residents of Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre and North Lancashire, as well as specialist tertiary care for Cardiac and Haematology patients.
