Materials Expeditor in Ramsgate, UK we're looking for?


Your future role


This is an exciting opportunity to join our successful team and help us expedite all material deliveries in line with the open purchase order book and resolve supplier issues.

Work with the Procurement Team to develop suppliers to ensure the required level of OTIF performance for all demand streams including Casualty and Planned material are met.


We'll look to you for:


  • Ensuring that materials are expedited to the schedule required to meet any operational/sales/contractual requirements.
  • Ensuring that the status of all orders and deliveries is accurately maintained.
  • Liaising with other departments as necessary to ensure continuity of order progress.
  • Expediting rejected material.
  • To understand, measure and reduce missing parts on a daily basis and work with all parties to understand the root cause of missing parts.
  • Development and updating of Supplier performance measures in key areas of Supplier performance.
  • Participate in regular Supplier review meetings to discuss performance, delivery schedules and day to day business issues.
  • Communicate and improve any errors found to static data files.
  • Conversion a P/Reqs to purchase order, and distribution to the Supply Chain.
  • Control and management of free issue material.
  • Development of suppliers to increase their OTIF performance.

  • GCSE/or equivalent level (Grades C in Maths and English)
years' experience in a relevant role, providing knowledge within material processes and tools.

  • Knowledge of SAP,
  • Excellent communication.
  • Fluent English (negotiation level required)
  • Project Management Basics
  • Good knowledge of Excel

On a more personal level, you will also need to be:

  • Self-motivated with a desire to learn
  • Able to work independently
  • A strong team player, with effective interpersonal skills.
