We are looking fora full-time, permanent Accounts Assistant to work as part of a small finance team, based in Stratford-upon-Avon.

This company encourages direct progression and this position will develop into a Management Accountant role if you are a success during your time here.

Please note that the below list is not exhaustive and you will be expected to perform different tasksas your role develops within the organisation along with the overall business objectives.

Responsibilities:

Maintain the Sales and Purchase Ledgers ensure all information is correctly processed and queries are handled appropriately
Control account reconciliations
Overseeing the preparation of accounts and bank balance information
Liaising appropriately and effectively with Directors, Sales team, auditors, and visitors
VAT returns must assist in the preparation
Payroll must assist in the preparation when necessary

You will need:

Recent experience double-entry Bookkeeping / undertaking Purchase Ledger / Sales Ledger responsibilities:

Excel skills to an intermediate level (ideally with v-lookup and pivot table knowledge)
Strong attention to detail and numerical skills
Effective communicator at all levels

Willingness to get involved with ad hoc tasks to support the business in its' success
