As a Barclays Operational Governance Manager, you will be in charge of driving forward the control and process remediation.

You will be administrating operational risk and control, and understand strategy services, risks and associated control environmentto help mitigate these.

You will be testing operational processes and assess the effectiveness of process design and operation, and support control environment by identifying weaknesses and improvements, whilst offering recommendations.

Working Flexibly

What will you be doing?:


  • Maintaining risk issue and risk event data current and in line with remediation action plan target dates
  • Assisting stakeholders to their risk objectives and fostering a risk positive culture
  • Performing Remediation Assurance by undertaking first line assurance to validate remediation
  • Dealing with Internal Controls Testing (25%), Process Improvement (15%), Stakeholder Management (10%)
  • Conducting controls assurance and testing, providing robust assurance to senior stakeholders on suppliers' processes through 'mini audit' or thematic reviews
  • Gaining broad knowledge of operating procedures across all delivery pillars and identifying connected remediation needs throughout the function
  • Documenting key processes where identified through remediation activity and driving standardisation of process design and implementation of process across the function

What we're looking for:


  • Knowledge of systems such as ORAC
  • Experience producing quality reports and delivering projects
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and risk and control frameworks within a financial services environment
  • Audit/controls experience

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Risk and control experience in financial, risk management, facilities management or corporate real estate sectors
  • Controls assurance/testing experience
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills and solid analytical skills
  • Developing risk management information

Where will you be working?
You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford.
