We are looking to appoint a Parent Support Advisor to join our team.

Are you a caring, nurturing person who believes that every child should be included in the school community? Do you have experience of working with families in difficult circumstances in the role pf Parent support advisor or an equivalent role?


This role will include working with children and families to promote high levels of attendance, liaising with the Attendance and Entitlement Officer and keeping a track on the pupils to look for attendance trends and meet with the schools attendance officer to discuss on a regular basis.


We would like you to:


  • Have relevant experience working with, and and ability to motivate and support, young people.
  • Be expected to (on occasions) lead classes, have a HLTA qualification.
  • Have energy, drive & enthusiasm
  • Have experience of running parent groups
  • Have responsibility for overseeing attendance within the school and leading parent meetings around this
  • Have experience of working with small groups of children using the Thrive Approach (having the Thrive Qualification is a must)
  • Have the highest expectations of children and support them to achieve these
  • Have strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Ability to work using your own initiative at a highly professional level
  • The willingness to be part of a highly performing team
  • Be a role model in your attitude to others and in your conduct around school
  • Have a positive mindset that encourages and establishes supportive relationships with children, parents and staff
  • Be first aid trained or willing to undertake a first aid course
