Job description:
**Clerk Of Works - London

Full or part time hours available**Do you have previous experience as a Clerk Of Works and are you looking for a new challenge? If so then Murphy Group is keen to hear from you regarding an opportunity on our CP6 framework at Euston Station.

The Clerk Of Works inspects the workmanship, quality and safety onsite during the construction phase and reports directly to the Construction Manager.

Ensuring all work and plans are being followed correctly and to the specified legal and safety requirements


What you will be doing:


  • Establish and promote best practice in Quality, health, safety and environmental matters in conjunction with the SHQE department.
  • Inspecting construction work and comparing against drawings and specifications
  • Regular site inspections
  • Measuring and quality checking
  • Identifying defects and suggesting ways to correct
  • Monitoring progress and reporting to the Construction Manager
  • Keeping detailed records of work
  • Liaising with Engineers and Subcontractors.
  • Ensures that all construction and installation activities are carried out in accordance with Health and Safety Legislation.
  • Ensure regular input from the Project Manager is gained on third party, environmental and public relations issues.
  • Participate in, and positively promote, the Murphy Culture Development Culture (leading to Zero Harm)

Who we are looking for:


  • Knowledge of building and construction
  • Proven ability to lead and interact with teams and ensure quality and safety is maintained on site.
  • Knowledge of company policy and procedures including safety and environment related issues
