Reporting to:
Claims Manager


Working Hours:
Full Time - working Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm - 35 hours per week.

Initially working full time in the office, a blend of office and home working will be available in line with the company smart working Policy on completion of probation.

We have an exciting new position for a full time Team Leader to join our Claims Team. This role will be working closely with and supporting the Claims Manager and Claims Team.


Key responsibilities:


  • Take an active part in the training and onboarding of new starters,
  • Collate information for monthly reports
  • Providing claims statistics / information to management as and when required
  • Completing 121s for Claims Technicians (Seniors will be reviewed by Group Claims Manager)
  • Acting as a point of referral for claims technicians
  • Authorising settlement of Pallet Network claims above agreed limit
  • File Audits for the teams as directed
  • Contributing to key projects as and when requested
  • Cover for claims manager
  • Monitor workflow
  • Handling a designated claims caseload including recording new and managing existing client's claims, dealing with claims queries, liaising and negotiating with insurers, clients and loss adjusters.
  • Providing suitable advice to clients regarding claims or potential claims in relation to policy cover and immediate and ongoing postloss action and keeping clients informed of progress.
  • Advising clients on how to handle small claims themselves where these fall within the policy excess.
  • Preparing claims reports for Broking Team for discussion at midterm and annual reviews with clients.
  • Attending claims meetings at clients' premises with Account/Broking Executive or unaccompanied if req.
  • Identifying potential problem or contentious claims as soon as reported or when issues occur to Group Technical Claims Manager and providing updates on claims progress.
  • Maintaining an effective diary system and chasing outstanding diaries
  • Attending and contributing towards claims team meetings

  • Monday to Friday

Experience:

Claims Processing: 3 years (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)

Hybrid remote in Norwich, NR4 6DJ
