Responsibilities of the role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English language lessons to students of all abilities and ages.
  • Develop and implement appropriate assessment strategies to track student progress.
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Establish and maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Attend and participate in schoolwide meetings and professional development opportunities.
  • Help to create and maintain a safe and welcoming classroom environment.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in English, Education or a related field
  • PGCE or QTS qualification
  • Experience teaching English to students of all ages and abilities
  • DBS on the update service
  • The ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff.
  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success
  • Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans and learning materials.
