We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Finance and Administration Assistant to join a small team within this genuinely lovely company.


We are looking for someone with an excellent telephone manner, good communication skills, organised, willing to learn, trustworthy, ability to multi-task, able to work well within a team and use their own initiative.

Ideally you will have previously workedin an accounts environment and have knowledge of Purchase Ledger and Credit Control. Experience of Sage 50 and direct debiting would be an advantage, but full training will be given.

You must be able to multi task as you will be working across three areas of the business.


Principle Responsibilities

Finance

  • Sales Ledger; membership and telecoms invoice processing, bank reconciliations, copy invoices, raising credits, processing Direct Debit Mandates, and processing monthly Direct Debit runs.
  • Purchase Ledger; checking & processing purchase orders, authorising and processing invoices, statement reconciliation, and processing expenses.
  • Credit Control; Running aged debtor reports, liaising with different teams to recover monies owed.

General administrative and Clerical Support

  • Provide general administrative and clerical support as required.
  • Recording of staff holidays/sickness.
  • Booking flights, hotels, hire cars, pool cars & train tickets when necessary.
  • Monitor and order stationery as required.
  • Processing mileage declarations.
  • Car fleet administrative support.

Reception cover

  • Liaise with the Receptionist to ensure the switchboard is manned at all times during office hours.
  • Answer telephone, screen and direct calls.
  • Greeting and looking after visitors (including providing refreshments during meetings).
  • Covering incoming and outgoing post and deliveries.
  • Reception cover for lunchtimes, holidays & sickness.

Development Training Requirements
Continued development and training as required.

You will be encouraged and supported to take qualifications such as AAT and CIMA
