What is the purpose of the Group Marketing Manager?
The Group Marketing Manager is responsible for all marketing and related marketing channels related to B2B activities. With a portfolio of over 60,000 live products this role will sit within the Product
Lifecycle team. The role will also be responsible for customer and rand marketing.

The aim is to ensure maximised opportunities for our sales teams, online and offline audiences and to allow the marketing team to develop strategies that result in new business,business retention and overall profitability of the product ranges.

What will be the responsibilities of the Group Marketing Manager?

  • Work with the PLCM (Product Lifecycle Team) and NPI (New Product Introduction) team to produce product marketing initiatives to help achieve the strategic aims of the business.
  • To work in collaboration with the ecommerce team.
  • Develop and manage group wide marketing campaigns from brief to execution and successfully create in conjunction with the Head of PLCM and Marketing and the Commercial teams, the Global Marketing Plan.
  • Be flexible in the planning approach to all marketing activities as business needs change.
  • Become the brand champion of the brand and related sub brands, alongside the Design team.
  • Take the lead on marketing requirements for any crossdepartmental projects.
  • Create and manage the events and exhibition program.
  • Lead on all reporting of sales / profit related to all marketing activity.
  • Engage with A brand suppliers for marketing support as required.
  • Develop, mentor, target set and manage any disciplinary issues for the marketing team.
  • Help to automate and quicken the development and delivery of sales and business support materials for subsidiaries.
  • Ensure that your time is managed effectively through setting project/task objectives and timescales, so that deadlines are met, and work is accurate.
  • Review and analyse product performance alongside the PLCM and NPI teams, and market trends
to proactively manage the life cycle of the product range.

  • Work together with the PLCM team to formulate and drive the plan for exiting products from the business as cost effectively as possible.
  • Take on any other responsibilities or tasks as requested by your manager as the changing needs of the business require.

What skills and experience will the Group Marketing Manager have?

  • Ability to set priorities, manage a diversity of job responsibilities within tight deadlines ability to delegate and prioritise the workflow of others.
  • Strong knowledge of a wide mix of marketing channels on and offline.
  • A natural communicator with advanced written and oral skills
  • Strong attention to detail to support accurate proofing and campaign sign off
