Site Supervisor to carry out general duties to ensure an efficient and continuous stream of materials through the site, whilst supervising the team based in

London.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the daily running of the team.
  • Ensure prestart checks are carried out on the mobile and fixed plant.
  • Ensure the team carries out essential daily maintenance including greasing, washing, and cleaning.
  • Sort and prepare materials for recycling.
  • Operate and maintain plant, machinery, and vehicles including forklift trucks, mobile plant, and other plant equipment.
  • Manual handling of stock, parts, and equipment.
  • Operate in a safe manner at all times, in line with the company's Health and Safety policy.
  • Allocation of staff to best meet the daytoday requirements of the plant.
  • Ensure the area is kept environmentally compliant.
  • Maintain a stock of plant consumables to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure all staff are adhering to PPE Requirements, SOPs, and health and safety procedures.

Skills/knowledge:


  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Ability to create effective working relationships.
  • Planning and organization skills.
  • Prioritize workload accordingly.
  • Experience in the waste industry.
