As weighbridge operator, first impressions count as you will likely be the first person our visitors and colleagues meet when visiting site, so being personable and approachable is key.
As a confident communicator, you will be comfortable in speaking with a variety of colleagues and departments.Being computer literate is a core function of the role as you will be required to input data onto our internal systems.
Working Hours:16 hours per week, days to be discussed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily reports to site management and commercial teams.
- Site inductions for drivers visiting site for the first time.
- First point of contact in the event of an emergency on site.
- Accurate inputting of data in to a weightron file and sending daily reports.
- Traffic management on site booking in / out vehicles to site to maintain a safe operating environment.
- Report any nonconformances to the appropriate departments.
- Communication with all departments and visitors, including use of 2way radio.
- Making sure that the weighbridges are operating accordingly and in tolerance.
- Checking all documentation for all deliveries to and from site.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise:
Essential
- Computer literate, Excel, and word
- Good Communication Skills
Desirable
- Worked with in the waste industry.
- First Aid Trained
- Knowledge of Environment agency
