Job Description Summary:
As the Digital Operations Site Leader, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations for the GE Aerospace Defense & Systems Cheltenham location as part of the Digital Operations team.
In this role, you will partner with the local leadership team, defining the digital strategy for the site and supporting DT operations.
This role requires strong project, interpersonal, leadership, compliance and change skills.You will report functionally to the Defense & Systems Digital Operations Leader and operationally to the Site Senior Leadership Team.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Act as Senior DT Leader for GE Aerospace Defense & Systems Cheltenham site.
- You will work with the appropriate teams and deliver a clear and descriptive set of requirements to support Digital Operations at the site.
Product Managers, Technical Anchors, Service Owners and Developers.
- Deploy and support Operational Technology Network (OTN), engaging with Manufacturing Engineering, Test Equipment and third party teams as necessary.
- You will identify opportunities for necessary changes and pursue/lead them when appropriate, evaluate progress and involve peers and team members in analysing strengths and weaknesses in performance. You will be responsible for working with stakeholders to embrace the implications of change.
- Actively engage with the business to participate in lean/process improvement initiatives & enable business transformation leveraging digital tools.
- Work on crossfunctional projects/teams to deliver technology solutions for the business.
- Strong communication and influencing skills ensuring stakeholder alignment, operating in lockstep with DT Leadership.
- Evaluate new technologies (office automation and collaboration tools, mobile devices, wearables, etc. ) to improve overall employee experience and increase productivity.
- Partner with the other Defense & Systems Digital Operations Leaders, including UK Client and Infrastructure Leaders to support operational issues and project directives.
- Manage the local DT budget and identify projects to optimize DT spend.
- Coordinate and Communicate all Change Management and Risk Management Activities.
- Initiates technology obsolescence and improvement projects.
- Maintain culture of compliance with DT and across business stakeholders; working with ACTR and other SME groups to maintain an environment which is fully compliant with Cyber Essentials and CMMC requirements.
- Use high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering.
