We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Somercotes team in the position of Quality Document Control Administrator.
The primary objective of the role is to support the quality related activities at the Somercotes precast manufacturing facility such that routine product testing and material tests are logged, validated, reported and managed.
This needs to be achieved withinthe required timescales and to a high level of proficiency given the high profile nature of our customer base.
The position has primary responsibility for ensuring that the required documentation as stipulated in project Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) are logged and compiled into Quality Assurance packages ready for issue to customers.
This will require working closelywith the Quality and Production teams to ensure that all documentation is completed correctly and returned upon completion.
There will also be an occasional need to administer the logging of non-conformances and continuous improvement activities.
This position reports to the site Quality Controller and will need to work closely with the local quality and operations team.
- Carry out data collection and calculation of test results within appropriate timescales.
- Assess product compliance data against defined standards/specifications to highlight adverse trends.
- Collate test results for presentation to management to ensure effective communication and dissemination of product information.
- Assist with the maintenance of relevant Standard Operating Procedures and Safe Systems of Work.
- Collect records from the plant and log data relating to raw material sampling and testing.
- Oversight of Test Plans (ITP), with responsibility for validation and logging of completed documentation.
- Creation of project QA packages that contain ITP relevant documentation, such as process sheets, raw material certification, test results, company accreditation certificates.
- Issuing of QA packages to customers at project completion or periodically as laid out during project startup.
- Liaise with suppliers to maintain up to date material certifications pertinent to contracts.
- Under the direction of the quality controller, log nonconformances within our quality processes and carry out the related administrative functions.
- Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
- Must have the ability to work under their own initiative, with good numerical skills, be computer literate and have a methodical approach to data collection.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Basic ISO 9001 Awareness (training will be given)
- Systems and IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Teams etc.)
